Lean Coaching

The aim of Lean Coaching is to get the client to look at their own misconceptions and help them correct their mental model through an individualised discussion and examination. Because the focus is on the person’s misconceptions this process is only appropriate if the person being coached is committed to their own self-development. This process leads to a deeper understanding of your work environment which then allows you to eliminate wasteful practices and concentrate on creating value.
The core principle around Lean Coaching is that of continuous improvement. This is achieved through learning about what is and isn’t working, working better with your team and the individuals within that team and then identifying ways to build on strengths and improve areas of weakness. This leads to improvements in Efficiency and Quality.
From Ignite’s experience we have found that this process, whilst not confined to, is particularly effective with Leaders who are working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
